Splitting Edges Return with New Single ‘Shape’

Splitting Edges return with ‘Shape’ a tense, guitar-led cut that sits in the space between love and release.

The track blends indie and alt-rock with a jazzy bassline from long-time collaborator Kobe Heath-Ngugi, capturing that moment when a relationship has run its course but letting go isn’t easy. The riffs are deliberate and powerful, the vocals controlled yet edged with tension and a subtle groove keeps it intimate while driving the song forward.

‘Shape’ is their latest offering, and a hint that something bigger might be on the way. A measured introduction, but one that lands.

Beyond the track, things are starting to move. The band are in the running for a slot at Isle of Wight Festival’s New Blood stage, and will be opening for Arkayla at a sold-out Bristol show in May.

Citing influences from Jamie T to King Krule and Amy Winehouse to Johnny Cash, they’ve carved out a sound that’s hard to pin down—but impossible to ignore.

The track shows why Splitting Edges are a band to watch.
