London, brace yourself — Squid are back in town for one night only and they’re not leaving quietly.

Fresh from a headline show at the iconic Roundhouse, the Bristol-based art-rock experimentalists are cranking the chaos up a notch with an unmissable afterparty just a stone's throw away at Camden Assembly. On Saturday 26th April, expect a night of electronic oddities, post-punk bangers and synth-pop gems as Squid's own Ollie Judge and Laurie Nankivell jump behind the decks for a DJ set that promises to be just as wild and unpredictable as their live shows.
Let’s be honest a Squid gig is never just a gig. Known for their genre-blending sound that dances between punk, jazz and avant-garde madness, Squid have built a rep for throwing incendiary live performances that feel more like rituals than concerts. Their third album, Cowards, recently released on Warp records, has earned yet more critical acclaim as their best yet. A collection of stories about cannibalism, cults and the cheery possibility of an imminent nuclear holocaust, NME perfectly summed it up as “freaky and fascinating”. You know what else is going to be freaky and fascinating? This afterparty.

The vibes will be intimate and intense. Camden Assembly caps out at just 200 people, so this is as close as you’ll get to a house party with Squid. Advanced tickets are a steal at just £7 but don’t sleep on it these are bound to disappear fast
Expect selections straight from their Noods Radio show, where Squid flex their curatorial muscles with an eclectic mix that’s somehow even more unpredictable than their albums. With the UK and EU legs of their Cowards tour in the rearview and the US up next, this is a rare UK chance to catch the band celebrating and spinning in full freak-out mode.
The party kicks off at 11PM and runs till 3AM so skip the Sunday morning plans. Squid aren’t just pushing boundaries — they’re demolishing them.
See you in the pit... or by the decks.
