In Conversation : Divino Niño

Divino Niño have built quite the cult following since the release of 'The Shady Sexyfornia Tapes' back in 2016. The Band are no strangers to bold reinvention. Based out of Chicago, Divino Niño has evolved and changed since they first began their project. We sat down with Divino Niño to talk about how it all began, their exciting new album 'Last Spa On Earth', their biggest inspirations and whats next.



When and how did your band begin?


Sometime in the last decade we set out by taking our amps by taxi to any venue in Chicago who would have us.


Tell us about your single ‘XO' did anything change in your approach to writing this song compared to previous?


We threw conventional “words” out the window and found that chasing sounds is more pure musically.


Describe your sound in three words?


dumb, dirty, dreamy



If you had to use only one of your songs to put people onto your music, which song would you use and why?


our cover of ‘Santa Baby’ because the holidays are right around the corner and you can listen to it while opening presents.


Who were your biggest inspirations when recording your latest single?


Spice Girls


How does your typical song writing process go?


We start somewhere, hard to say where. And then we start adding sounds as a group, attacking it from every angle.

What's been a highlight in your career so far?
